Our company, Dailycer Deutschland GmbH, was founded over 100 years ago.
With the onset of industrialization, not only physicians but also Christian institutions became increasingly concerned about healthy nutrition for the population. The aim was to improve living standards, in compensation for the harsh working and living conditions of large sections of the population.
As part of the broad reform movement, in 1899 the resident Christian community in Friedensau near Magdeburg founded the "German Association for Health Care (Deutsche Verein für Gesundheitspflege)" and the former DE-VAU-GE GESUNDKOSTWERK GmbH, to produce exclusively vegetarian products.
As the first German factory, Dailycer Deutschland already at that time produced the traditional crunchy grain flakes, made from whole wheat, barley, or rice grain. Production was relocated to Hamburg in 1912, and, since June 1976, the Dailycer Deutschland company headquarters has been in Lüneburg. Here we focus today on the exclusive production of crispy breakfast cereals, different kinds of muesli, and fruit bars. In 1996, another plant, the Dailycer Deutschland Produktions GmbH, opened in Tangermünde. There, we set up the very latest production facilities for muesli and cereal bars, as well as an extensive range of breakfast cereals.
2007 saw the creation, with the merger of DE-VAU-GE GESUNDKOSTWERK (today Dailycer Deutschland); Dailycer, with locations in France, England, and Holland; and the Swiss Kentaur GmbH (today Dailycer Switzerland) under the Dailycer Group umbrella, a European market leader for breakfast cereals. This lends itself to recognizing European consumer trends early on and adapting to the regional market. At the same time, production in different European locations enables us to have the best possible cooperation with supra-regional grocer.
